Playgroups are a great way for our children to learn social skills and
make friends, as well as a chance for parents to meet, chat and develop
friendships. Each playgroup consists of four to five children of similar
age and/or gender.
Once all playgroups are established, the playgroup
facilitator plans the first play date and contacts the members of the
playgroup. At this initial play date, the individual groups determine
their group's best meeting days and times.
The group facilitator's main job is to organize the first play date.
Some groups may choose to keep the facilitator in an active role of "leading"
the group while some groups may not.
To sign up for a playgroup, please complete the Playgroup
Sign-Up Form by October 1, 2007.
If you joined BVECPTA after the deadline and would
like to join a playgoup, please e-mail
BVECPTA and the playgroup chairperson will contact you.
